BPD reports can be purchased online

August 6, 2012

Borger Police Department accident reports can now be purchased in one of two ways.
Those needing the reports can either come by BPD headquarters or now purchase them online, according to Lt. Anthony Griffin of the BPD.
BPD has teamed up with an online records provider to make this possible. Traditionally, people would have to come by BPD headquarters, pay a $5 cash fee for the report and wait three to 10 days to come back and pick it up.
The new system will allow citizens and insurance companies to log on to the Internet and retrieve a copy of their accident report at their convenience and from the comfort of their home or office, Lt. Griffin said.
The new service costs $12 and payment can be made by credit or bank card.
To find a report online, a person must have the date of the accident and the driver’s last name.
To access the online records, visit the City of Borger web site at and browse to the Borger Police Department page.
