Borger Summer Celebration set for Thursday

This year’s Borger Summer Celebration is set for this Thursday!
The event, sponsored by the Borger Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to take place from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Huber Park. A variety of booths will be on hand for people to enjoy during the celebration.

Beverly Benton, CEO of the Borger Chamber of Commerce, said booths may begin setting up at any time after 12 p.m. Thursday.
She also encourages local citizens to bring out their yard chairs and enjoy the music of the Prairie Dogs who will be playing in the gazebo area.
“There will be varied music of all kinds that is sure to keep the toes tapping,” Benton said. “Come and visit with your neighbors and friends and enjoy the fun and activities.”
In addition to the Borger Chamber of Commerce, the Summer Celebration is being sponsored by Chevron Phillips, ConocoPhillips, Borger Bank, Borger Federal Credit Union, United Supermarket, Agrium, and McDonalds.
