Borger, Sanford gear up for July 4th celebrations

July 3, 2014

The Fourth of July makes everyone smile - it’s grilled food, sparklers, and everything red, white, and blue. For many families, it is the best party of the summer.
This year, the City of Borger wants to make it one of the biggest celebrations of the summer.
All residents of Hutchinson County are invited to attend several events to honor the local veterans, to promote the unity promote of the community as a whole, and to celebrate the country’s independence from England. Thanks to the Borger Youth Advisory Council celebration, Borger will be among the hot spots of July 4th patriotism as the city will stage a parade, a service to honor veterans at the War Memorial, live entertainment, food and a laser show in the park.
