Borger Police, State Troopers, DEA raid Borger residence; investigation ongoing

Agents from the DEA, DPS and BPD all participated in a major bust in Borger on Wednesday.

Local Police, State Troopers, and Federal Agents have siezed suspected drug money and vehicles from a Borger residence in an ongoing operation.

On Wednesday, February 5, 2014 Federal DEA agents, state DPS agents, and Borger Police Department officers conducted a raid in Borger where Captain Anthony Griffin of the BPD says the three agencies, including the Borger Police Department K-9 Unit, moved on a residence believed to be used by a Mexican drug trafficking organization.

An estimated $200,000 in US currency, believed to be profits from illegal drug sales, and two vehicles were siezed by authorities.

Most details, including names of suspects and the location of the bust, are being withheld for now as the agencies continue the active investigation.
