Borger PD release information on Tuesday wreck on Hwy 136

June 1, 2012

A wreck between two vehicles occurred late Tuesday evening on Highway 136.
The accident, which occurred around 8:51 p.m., was between a red 1998 Dodge Ram pickup and a white 2011 Jeep Wrangler.
Inside the Dodge Ram pickup was driver Krista Paige Segars, 23, and passenger Cameron K. Segars, 22, both of Borger.
Inside the Jeep Wrangler was driver Steven Lynn Moore, 51, and passenger Rae Ladawn Moore, 50, both of Borger.
Segars was traveling eastbound on Highway 136 (approximately in the 3400 block of W. Wilson Street). Segars went off of the roadway towards the right side of the highway, then overcorrected and traveled across the center median, separating eastbound traffic from westbound traffic of the highway, causing the driver to travel eastbound in the westbound lane of traffic. At this time, Moore was traveling westbound. Segars then struck Moore.
Krista Segars, Cameron Segars, and Steven Moore were transported to Golden Plains Community Hospital by Borger EMS.
Rae Moore was transported to Amarillo by Fritch EMS.
Krista Segars was charged with failure to drive in a single lane and driving on the wrong side of a divided highway.
