Borger city council special session set for Wednesday

The Borger City Council will be holding its special session at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, not Tuesday, March 22, as was originally printed in the paper.
The meeting will be held in the city council chambers of Borger City Hall, 600 North Main.
The council will act to cast votes for two nominees to serve as municipal representatives on the Panhandle Rural Transportation Planning Organization.
Action will also be taken on an interlocal agreement for fire protection between Carson County and the City of Borger, and an interlocal agreement between the City of Borger and other communities for the 2011 seal coat program.
A closed session will be held to discuss the potential purchase of water rights and the city manager evaluation and contract renewal.
Upon return to open session, the council will act on the items discussed during the closed session.
