Borger Chamber of Commerce seeks Citizen of the Year nomination

February 27, 2013

It is time for Borger to select a Citizen of the Year. For 22 years the Borger Chamber of Commerce has honored a local citizen by selecting them as Citizen of the Year. The general public is encouraged to submit nominations for this award. A nominee may be from an organization or from the community at large.
Nominations must be submitted stating the reason(s), accomplishments and merits of the nominee. The nomination may be submitted with the person’s accomplishments in one document or several may write to the accomplishments. All nominations must be submitted to the Borger Chamber of Commerce at 613 N. Main no later than Monday, March 18th at 5:00. Nominations may also be mailed to P. O. Box 490, Borger, Texas, 79008, or e-mailed to borgerchamber@amaonline.com or faxed to 806-273-3488. An awards committee will make the selection for the honor.
Helping nominate a person for Citizen of the Year is a wonderful way to applaud that person for the work they have done in our community. For more information on submitting a nomination, please call the Borger Chamber of Commerce at 274-2211. The Citizen of the Year will be announced at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet on Thursday, April 4th, at the BCAC on the Frank Phillips College Campus.
