Borger Boys claim third straight district title

October 29, 2011

The past two years, the Borger Boys Cross Country team seem to fall just short of beating Perryton in various meets in the season but came up with the win when it counted the most.
That was the case again on Friday, as the Borger Bulldog Varisty Boys Cross Country team won it’s third consecutive District 1-3A title edging out the Perryton Rangers by one point. It was Borger’s first victory over Perryton this season. Borger placed it’s top five runners in the top ten in order to win the title.
On the girls side, the Borger Lady Buldogs finished fourth with Rachel Rickabaugh finishing in tenth to qualify for the regional meet along with the Varsity boys.
