Borger’s Paulsell tied for ninth after one round

Bad weather delayed the start of the 3A State Golf Tournament at Roy Kizer Golf Course in Austin until Thursday afternoon.
Once play got underway, Borger High School senior Will Paulsell shot a 75 to put him tied for ninth place in the tournament.
Sean Romero of Texarkana Pleasant Grove leads the field after one round with a 71. Perryton’s Hunter Wade sits one stroke ahead of Paulsell tied for seventh with a 74.
The second round of the state golf tournament was scheduled to start this morning.
