Blood drive taking place in Borger Jan. 26

A blood drive is set to take place in Borger in about two weeks.
The Coffee Memorial Blood Center will be holding a drive at the Union Hall, 111 East Coolidge on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
All eligible donors who present to donate will receive a M*A*S*H* t-shirt in appreciation for giving the gift of life.
A photo ID or donor card is required to donate, and donors must be at least 17 years of age to be eligible to give blood.
Suzanne Talley of CMBC said that all blood types are currently needed.
“The need is real. There is no substitute for blood,” she said. “It can only come from volunteer blood donors. Please support the patients of the High Plains Region...Give the gift of life!”
Coffee Memorial Blood Center is dedicated to providing life-saving blood products and transfusion services to patients throughout the High Plains Region. The center draws and processes more than 30,000 units of whole blood, along with platelets, plasma and stem cells per year.
