Bill Jett

Bill Jett, age 80, peacefully passed away, Thursday, June 14, 2012 and went to be with his loving wife Barbara Ann Jett. He also joins his father and mother, Joe and Nettie Jett and his brother, Richard Jett.Bill was born Wednesday, September 30, 1931 on a farm in Hardeman County, TX. He graduated in 1950 from Lockett High School in Vernon, TX. He joined the United States Air Force in December 1951 and honorably served as a radio operator at bases in Alaska and Washington State. He was discharged December 1955.Bill moved to Phillips, TX and worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for thirty-three years. He was an avid golfer and was extremely proud of his seven holes-in-one. Bill was a loving husband to Barbara Ann Adkisson Jett for forty-seven years. He was a loving father of three children, sons Mike Jett of Wichita Falls, TX and Andy Jett and wife Susan of Fritch, TX and daughter Terri Diane Lyles and husband Ricky of Borger, TX. Bill had four grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Lori Jett Beagle and husband Branden, Aaron Jett and wife Liz, Matthew Jett and William Lyles. He was the great grandpa to Alyssa Beagle, Chloe Jett and Kimber Jett. He is also survived by one sister, Sue Ming of Henrietta, TX and three brothers, Ralph Jett and wife, Freeda of Winthrop, AR, Charles Jett and wife, Patsy of Rockport, TX and Ted Jett and wife, Sharon of Glen Rose, TX.Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, June 18, 2012 at Fairlanes Baptist Church in Borger, TX with Rev. Paul Burwash officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger, TX.Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons, Mike Jett, Andy Jett, William Lyles, Matthew Jett, Aaron Jett and Branden Beagle.Mr. Jett will lie in state at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM and Sunday June 17, 2012, from 12:00PM to 6:00PM.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Borger Healthcare Center, 1316 S.
