BFD responds to Christmas Eve fire call

Borger fire crews were busy on Christmas Eve fighting a fire on Coble Street.
A fire broke out inside a home on the 900 block of Coble. The fire gutted the inside of the home, according to Fire Chief Bob Watson. The fire occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, and was contained within 30 minutes. The fire crews did not leave the scene till 8:30 p.m.
Fourteen firefighters, two engine trucks, one ladder truck, and American Red Cross arrived at the scene to aid the firefighters and family. There were no injuries. Fire Chief Watson says the cause of the fire is still under investigation at this moment.
