Betty Jo Black, 86, of Borger, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.
Betty Jo (Spinks) Black was born Thursday, Sept. 30, 1926, in Tell, TX to Robert and Ethel (Shields) Spinks. Betty was retired from the Human Resources Department for the State of Texas. She loved dancing, playing dominoes, and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Black is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Harry Donald Lewis, her second husband Earl Morgan Lewis, her third husband Kenneth Foster Black, four brothers, R.T. Spinks, Aubrey Spinks, Curtis Spinks, and Weldon Spinks; two sisters, Edna Mae Spinks and Syble Manes Bennett, and a daughter-in-law Barbara Lewis.
Survivors include her son Donald Eugene Lewis of Granbury, TX; two daughters, Debra Long and husband Ronnie of Borger, TX and Carla Brooks and husband Gary of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Ridling officiating.
Viewing will be at Brown Funeral Directors in Borger, TX on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
