With school wrapping up in the next two weeks, several of the area coaches are busy making plans for their athletic summer camps to help younger student-athletics learn the basics of various sports.
More athletic camps will be announced throughout the summer from the different local high schools and Frank Phillips College.
The Borger Baseball Summer Camp is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 6th through Thursday, June 9th at Huber Park Baseball Field.
Players ages 8-11 will take part in the camp from 9:00 a.m. to noon, while players ages 12-incoming freshmen will run from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
The camp will be taught by Borger Head Baseball Coach Steve Ribera, the Bulldog coaching staff and former 2011 Borger baseball players.
The cost of the camp is $40 which includes a t-shirt, certificate and one free ticket to any Amarillo Sox baseball game this summer.

Borger Lady Bulldog basketball camp is set for Monday, June 13th to Thursday, June 16th.
The Grades 1-6 camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Grades 7-9 will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Tex Hanna Gym.
The camp will focus on fundamental basketball drills and leadership skills while learning about being a strong, quick and agile athlete through the instruction sessions.
The cost of the camp for participants in Grades 1-6 is $45 while the cost for those in Grades 7-9 is $60. A sibling discount will be available.

The FPC Lady Plainsmen softball team will be hosting a summer camp on Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. The cost to attend the camp is $45 and is open to players ages 9 through those entering the 12th grade.
Emphasis of the clinics will be on the fundamentals throughout all aspects of the game.
The daily instruction schedule will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Pitching/Catching, 2:00-3:30 p.m. Defensive Fundamentals and 3:30-5:00 p.m. Defensive Fundamentals.

Hutchinson County Soccer Association has partnered with Challenger Sports to host the week long British Soccer camp during the week of Monday, July 18th through Friday, July 22nd at the Soccer Fields on Veta Street.
Each child will be coached by a member of Challengerâ€™s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.
Along with learning basic drills and soccer skills, campers will take part in learning foot skill development, technical and tactical practices and daily â€˜World Cupâ€™ tournament style plays.
Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster and an individual skills performance evaluation. In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days prior to camp will receive a genuine British Soccer replica Jersey valued at $39.
