Assistance needed in copper theft cases

Crime Stoppers and the Borger Police Department are seeking assistance in reference to copper wire thefts that occurred inside the City of Borger.
On Monday, March 19, 2012, officers from Borger PD responded to a burglary in the 300 block of East Tenth Street.
During this burglary, the suspect (s) took several types of copper wiring from the location. The suspect (s) also caused damage to the location while taking the copper wiring.
Lt. Anthony Griffin of the Borger Police Department said it is believed that the incident occurred sometime between Friday, March 16, 2012, and Monday, March 19, 2012.
The total amount of damages to the location and the copper wiring was estimated at over $5,000.
On Thursday, April 5, 2012, Borger PD officers responded to another theft of copper wiring in the 600 block of West Wilson Street.
During this theft, the suspect (s) also caused damage to the location while taking the copper wiring.
Lt. Griffin said it is believed this theft occurred sometime between Wednesday, April 4, 2012, and Thursday, April 5, 2012.
The total amount of damages to this location and the copper wiring is estimated at $7,000.

Any and all person calling in a tip or information to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous.
However, anyone who wishes to receive a reward in reference to the tip or information is asked and encouraged to leave a working reliable contact number so that a Crime Stoppers representative can contact the person at a later date and time in reference to reward information in the event that the tip or information proves to be reliable or relevant.
Crime Stoppers offers rewards ranging from $50 up to $1,000 for reliable/relevant tips and information in reference to any unsolved investigation/crime, any type of criminal activity, and/or outstanding fugitives from justice.
