Annelle Shipp Smith

Annelle Shipp Smith of Texas City, TX, formerly of Fritch, TX, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. She was born in Newport, TX on July 20, 1913 to Lula and O.M. Shipp.
  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Greer Smith, son, Jack Smith and brother John Shipp. She is survived by her grandsons, Russell Smith, David Smith and wife Barbara, granddaughter, Dana Mayor and husband Doug, great grandchildren, Matt and Jordan Monford and Jenna Mayor, daughter-in-law and husband Jan and Bob Viglini, nieces and husbands, Jane and Lance Morris, Barbara and John Ahlquist, Jeannie and Pat Ford and nephew, Rex Shipp.
  Nell graduated from North Texas State Teacher’s College. She taught school for 1 year in Newport, Texas, 4 years in Post Oak, Texas, Electra, Texas for 3 years and Phillips, Texas for 26 years. She loved teaching and her students, many of which have stayed in touch through the years. We will miss her great sense of humor and all her stories. Nell loved her Lord, her family and her friends and was faithful to them to the very end of her life. Above all else, she wanted this time to be a great celebration of life. She was also a lifetime member of the PTA, Retired Teacher’s Association,  United Methodist Women and Twentieth Century.
  Visitation will be Friday, September 2, 2011 from 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Directors, 206 W. 1st St., Borger, Texas.  Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11:00 A. M. at Fritch First United Methodist Church, 403 South Cornell, Fritch, Texas.

  The Future Lady Bulldog Basketball Camp will be held on July 14th through the 17th.
