PANHANDLE - Anna “Ann” Marie Looten Lindsey, 84, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Amarillo.
Rosary Service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church and funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Panhandle with Father Mieczyslaw Przepiora officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Groom under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Mrs. Lindsey was born on Nov. 6, 1926, in Groom and was a lifetime area resident. She was a bookkeeper for 66 Credit Union in Borger. She married Sammie Dean Lindsey on March 16, 1948 in Amarillo and he preceded her in death in March 1997. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, the Altar Society, VFW and American Legion and enjoyed her family, grandkids and great-grandkids. She was also preceded in death by her sister Susie Troy.
She is survived by three daughters, Chadette Cornelius and husband Richard of Houston, Pat Tietz and husband Ellsworth of Broken Arrow, Okla., Ladene Knight and husband Bob of Amarillo, brother Archie Looten and wife Gladys of Panhandle, three sisters, Rosella Gorenson of Broken Arrow, Okla., Virginia Stephens of Houston, Dorothy Garmon of Yellville, Ark., six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
