Amarillo Zoo celebrates World Snake Day July 16

Gather up your little naturalist and visit the Amarillo Zoo on Saturday, July 16. The zoo is celebrating World Snake Day on July 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy hands-on encounters with snakes from around the world and learn the important roles they play keeping our environment healthy. The event will highlight the truths and misconceptions that surround snakes and offer super cool snake crafts to make and take home. Youngsters will be able to join the "I Touched a Snake Club" too.

Admission to the event is free with paid zoo admission. The Amarillo Zoo is located at NE 24th Ave. and Dumas Highway inside Thompson Park. For more information, please visit the zoo website at www.amarillozoo.org.
