Alton W. Harvey, 83, of Borger, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Alton was born Oct. 18, 1929, in Elmira, N.Y., and was in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Wanda June May 26, 1972, in Borger. Alton was a truck driver, and crossing guard at Gateway Elementary. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, Hutchinson County E.O.C., and loved the Dallas Cowboys, bingo, and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Marrs of Fritch and Donny Marrs of Fresno, Calif.; three daughters, June Jubeck of Colgate, Wis., Hope Floyd of Amarillo, and Diane Dick; 20 grandchildren, including James Marrs II and wife Courtney of Borger; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Alton is preceded in death by his wife Wanda June Harvey on March 6, 2011, his parents, a stepson Ronald Lynn Marrs, and a grandson Keith Stimson.
