Alton Lee Tennell, 72, of Fritch, passed away, Saturday, July 21, 2012.
Alton Lee Tennell was born Monday, March 25, 1940 in Vernon, TX to Edward Tennell and Lucille (Hallmark) Tennell. Mr. Tennell was a heavy equipment operator for Zachry. He was a Seventh Day Adventist. Mr. Tennell played football and basketball at Harrold High School, where he won many trophies for those sports. He also won trophies in 4H and FFA.
Mr. Tennell is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Tennell on June 30, 2012; two sisters, Doris Spurlock Davis and Una Germany; one brother, Jerry Don Tennell; and his parents.
Survivors include his son, Eddie Quesada of Borger; two daughters, Theresa Sullivan of Amarillo and Tamara Blankenship and husband Mike of Fritch; one brother, Wayne Tennell and wife Lucille of Electra; his aunt, Mattie Rodgers and Uncle Roe Hallmark both of Vernon; his niece, Pam Layton of Borger; seven nieces and eight nephews; eighteen great nieces and nephews; three grandchildren, Kelly, Annette and Eric; and four great grandchildren, Briona, Mason, Jaden and Kinley.
No services are planned at this time.
Cremation was entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors.
