Aiden’s Closet at GPCH provides baby items to families in need
A charitable program for young families in need is being offered at the Golden Plains Community Hospital. Aiden’s Closet offers new baby items to families who are in need of them. This program is in memory of Aiden James Marshall, son of ER nurse, Monica Marshall and her husband Cody Marshall of Borger. Aiden was born on Nov. 22, 2008, and passed away on April 17, 2009, from a severe heart defect. Shortly after his death, RNs from the OB Ward at GPCH started the program. All donations should be new items for children between the ages of 0 to 18 months. Used and perishable items are not accepted. “It’s not only for patients, it’s a hospital wide thing. Nurses are constantly giving things away,” said Diane Williams, nurse at GPCH. “We. the nurses, staff, family, and friends strive to keep Aiden’s memory alive, and all the precious babies who have gone to heaven to be cradled in Jesus’ loving arms.”Anyone wanting to give or get more information call Williams at 467-5750.
