Karen Sue Norman Davis went to meet her maker on January 13, 2015.
She was born on April 26, 1950 in Borger, Texas to parents Gerald and Betty Norman.
At 19 months of age, she contracted polio and was left paralyzed from the waist down. After wearing leg braces and numerous surgeries, she was able to walk with just the aid of crutches. She never let the polio slow her down and was always able to do the things that she really wanted to do: Â including holding down numerous jobs to support her family. She was as determined as they came.

Millton Florine Svetlik born Houston, TX, April 18, 1920, died December 18, 2014, in San Antonio, TX. In 1941 she became the first female to graduate in chemical engineering from Texas Tech University. She then worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, OK, and in 1942 married Joseph Frank Svetlik, a Texas Tech classmate who had joined the company as a chemical engineer just prior to their marriage. Frank was a lifelong Phillips employee working in carbon black research.
