A shot was fired in the midst of a police car chase early Saturday morning in Stinnett just after midnight.
The suspect rammed one of the police patrol units heading north. A chase continued on foot in the same direction, when a fired was shot by an officer.
There were no injuries, but one officer went to the hospital on his own for safety precautions.

After being picked to finish last in the WJCAC at the start of the season, the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen proved the experts on wrong by qualifying for the West Region V Tournament without the use of any tiebreaker with a four game win over Clarendon College on Saturday afternoon 22-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-14.
The West Region V Tournament will take place on Saturday, featuring the Lady Plainsmen opening against Midland College, while NMMI will take on Western Texas College in the other semi-final.

The past two years, the Borger Boys Cross Country team seem to fall just short of beating Perryton in various meets in the season but came up with the win when it counted the most.
That was the case again on Friday, as the Borger Bulldog Varisty Boys Cross Country team won itâ€™s third consecutive District 1-3A title edging out the Perryton Rangers by one point. It was Borgerâ€™s first victory over Perryton this season. Borger placed itâ€™s top five runners in the top ten in order to win the title.
DALHART-On Friday night, the Borger Bulldogs overcame two early turnovers and 120 yards in penalties and scored 13 unanswered fourth quarter points to get the 20-19 win over the Dalhart Golden Wolves in District 1-3A action.
The Bulldogsâ€™ defense shut down the Wolves in the fourth quarter, limiting them to just two yards of total offense. The Bulldogsâ€™ offense responded with senior running back Ty Brown scoring two touchdowns in the final six minutes to get the win and keep the team undefeated in district play.
On Friday evening, the Sanford-Fritch Eagles secured second place in District 1-2A Division II by defeating Spearman 42-14 in Fritch.

Jose â€śJuniorâ€ť Fernandez, Francisco â€śFrankâ€ť Fernandez, Aaron Fernandez and Thomas Joseph Salazar, all of Borger, were arrested on Thursday, October 27, 2011 following investigations by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) personnel. Arrest warrants were issued under the authority of the United States based on Special Agent Daryl Walkerâ€™s personal knowledge, experience and investigations of the four men who allegedly conspired to have with intent to distribute narcotics (including cocaine and methamphetamine.
Amy Fernandez of Borger has been charged with structuring, or attempting to structure, a financial transaction.
In the criminal complaint, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas (Amarillo Division), Fernandez allegedly structured, attempted to structure, and attempted to assist in structuring currency transactions with one or more domestic financial institutions, by purchasing 39 cashier's checks with United States currency in amounts of $3,000 or less.
