Tonight the Borger Bulldogs will host the Dumas Demons in non-district basketball action at 7:00 p.m. in Tex Hanna Gym.
The Borger Lady Bulldogsâ€™ game with Wellington has been cancelled due to the Wellington football team playing in the 1A state semifinals in football.
The Red Hat Mamas will have their Christmas dinner on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at the Borger Opportunities Center, 930 Illinois.
The group will meet at the center at 11 a.m. and dinner will be served a little after 11:30 a.m.
The cost of the meal is $4 for senior citizens and $5 for those under the age of 50.
Red Hat Mamas is a club that is open to all women ages 50 or more.

Tonight the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen will conclude the fall semester portion of the schedule by hosting Ranger Junior College beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the BCAC.

Borger Creative Arts Club is extending its bazaar.
Falling ceilings, rain, and snow caused the bazaar to start very slow.

Saturday, Dec. 10, the hours are 9 to 5, celebrating cheerfully, keeping Christmas alive.
On Wednesday evening, the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen made the trip to Altus, Okla. to take on the Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers in non-conference action.
The Pioneers got off to a fast start and were able to build a 21-point lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Plainsmen rallied and were able to pull to within two points with four minutes to play.
But a comeback win was not meant to be, as the Pioneers were able to pull away for the 96-85 win.
The top scorers in the game for the Plainsmen were Montero Rice 16, Akeem Johnson 15, and Kris Harris 14.
A replat of property for the construction of a nursing home in Borger has received official city approval.
During its regular meeting Tuesday, the Borger City Council approved the replat of Blocks 2 & 3, North Park Addition, containing 10.76 acres, to be known as Borger Nursing Facility Subdivision, 900 College Avenue. The request for the replat was made by P&B Senior Living Group, LLC, of Fort Smith, Ark.
Kenneth Petr, Director of Planning and Zoning for the City of Borger, said the nursing home will be a 120-bed facility.
Thanks to an impressive 10-1 start to the 2011-12 season, which includes winning the Miami Tournament this past weekend, the West Texas High Comanches boys basketball team found themselves ranked #23 in the state of Texas in Class 1A Division I, according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC).
The Comanchesâ€™ lone loss of the season came against a solid Amarillo San Jacinto Patriots team during the Amarillo Highland Park Tournament in late November.
