Jerrel Don Easley, 76, died at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 8, 2011, at Brookside Nursing Home in Madill, Okla.
He was born on June 15, 1935, in Fob, Okla. He moved to Skellytown in 1970 and retired from Texaco Oil Company in 1989.
He moved to Madill, Okla., where he enjoyed fishing and helping out people in need.
He loved working with his hands and was nicknamed â€śHandy Man.â€ť
He loved being around his family and loved kids, especially all his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He never knew a stranger. You were friends instantly if you ever had the pleasure of meeting Don.
Fritch - Funeral services for Nancy Christine â€śChrisâ€ť Purdy, 55, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger with Rev. Justin Unwin, Pastor of 1st Assembly of God Church in Fritch. She will lie in state at the Funeral Home in Fritch. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Chris was born November 26, 1956 in Anadarko, Oklahoma and has lived in Fritch for the past 32 years. She owned and operated Chrisâ€™ Kitchen in Fritch for the past 17 years. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.

Tonight all three Hutchinson County high schools will take to the basketball court in boys and girls action.
The Borger High School boys and girls will host Amarillo Highland Park at Tex Hanna Gym with the girls beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 8:00 p.m.
Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs are looking to snap losing streaks with the Bulldogs in the midst of a two game skid and the Lady Bulldogs looking for their first win in the month of December.

On Saturday, January 7th,, 2012, Carmichael Simon an innovator in Martial Arts, actor and dance choreographer is teaching a special class and signing autographs at the American Karate Studios located on the corner of 5th and Main Streets.
Carmichael appeared on the popular T.V. Show â€śW.M.A.C. Mastersâ€ť, a television show that was hosted by Bruce Leeâ€™s daughter Shannon Lee. Carmichael also played Liu Kang on the Live tour â€śMortal Kombatâ€ť.
On Saturday, the Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles won third place in the Clarendon Greenbelt Tournament by beating Memphis 60-49.
Mikala Setliff had a big game scoring 24 points followed by Blakely Meek scoring 9.
The Lady Eagles improve to 8-7 for the season and will next travel to take on White Deer tomorrow evening.

Roger Keith Webb, 53, of Amarillo, died Dec. 9, 2011, in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 13, 2011, at North Burns Cemetery, Burns Flat, Oklahoma. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Roger was born July 22, 1958, at Elk City, Okla., to Don and Patricia Webb. He did construction work. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ.
The Borger Salvation Army has Red Kettles set up at Walmart, Lowes, and United in Borger and at Lowes in Fritch from now through Christmas Eve.
The organization is also in the midst of its Angel Tree program. This year, the program is running through Monday, Dec. 19, at Walmart. Those represented on the tree are from families who have previously applied for Christmas assistance through the Social Services program of the Salvation Army.
The City of Borger has introduced changes to its alcoholic beverage laws.
During its regular meeting last Tuesday, the Borger City Council introduced an ordinance amending the City of Borger Code of Ordinance, Article 4.02, Alcoholic Beverages.
City Manager Eddie Edwards said CVS is in the process of constructing a new pharmacy at the intersection of Third and Cedar. It regularly sells beer and wine as part of its in-store inventory.
