Leota Karen Francis Herin, 63, of Borger, was welcomed with open arms into Heaven, Sunday, January 1, 2015.

Leota was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 7, 1951 to William and Rachele Lovina Francis. She moved to Borger in 1973. Leota loved doing crafts.

Leota was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband, Kenneth Ray Herin, her brothers, Thomas Daniel Francis, Rodger Dale Francis; and her sisters, Maudie Mae Brown and Bonita Sue Sargent.

Earl W. Mounts, 87, of Amarillo died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, in Calvary Baptist Church in Borger with Jay Roberson officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton. Arrangements are

Earl W. Mounts, 87, of Amarillo died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, in Calvary Baptist Church in Borger with Jay Roberson officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Earl was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Woods County, Okla., to Clarence and Justine Mounts. He worked as a truck driver and as a dispatcher for Phillips Petroleum for many years until he retired in 1985. While living in Borger, he was very involved with the Elks Club.

BHS Chemistry Lab is on Fire
