Edith Guynes Stanley Celebrates 75th Birthday

Edith Guynes Stanley  of Borger celebrates her 75th birthday on Saturday, Feb. 28 with an "Unselfish Birthday Party" at the First United Methodist Church in Borger. Stanley is asking for donations to the McCurdy School in Espanola, New Mexico instead of gifts for herself.

Playoff game rescheduled for tonight in Amarillo

The bi-district neutral playoff game between Borger and Levelland has been rescheduled for Tuesday night in Amarillo at Tascosa High School gym at 7:30 p.m.The ticket prices have also changed for the game. Adult tickets are $5.00 and Student tickets are $3.00.

 (#1) Kentucky (27-0) 110

Auburn (12-15) 75

 Kentucky played host to SEC league door matt Auburn and appropriately blew them out of the gym. Kentucky used a 23-2 run in the first half to break open a 27 point first half lead. They never looked back as Auburn never seriously threatened again. Karl Anthony Towns led Kentucky with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Graveside service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell  Funeral Directors of Borger.

Margaret Estelle Badeen, 90, died February 21, 1915 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Cub Scout Pack 565's Blue and Gold Banquet was held on Saturday, Feb 21. The  evening was truly inspiring and the scouts and their leaders are to be commended for their dedication and service. Great Job!

Borger High School College and Career Night a Huge Success

Borger High School students were able to learn about job opportunities and area colleges on Thursday night during Borger High School's College and Career Night. Over 400 students attended the event within the first hour and eighteen minutes, according to Borger High School Associate Principal Dede Conaway. Conaway commented, the event was a "huge success". XCEL Energy's Myrna Flores, Joey Shuffield and Randy Meek are pictured with Kaylee Campbell (Borger High School senior).
