Borger High School students were able to learn about job opportunities and area colleges on Thursday night during Borger High School's College and Career Night. Over 400 students attended the event within the first hour and eighteen minutes, according to Borger High School Associate Principal Dede Conaway. Conaway commented, the event was a "huge success". Sondra Kaye Ray, 76, died February 14, 2015 in Bozeman, Montana. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Denny Sneed, Minister officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Dozier Cemetery (South of Shamrock) under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Nora Velma Immel Osborne, 83, born 28 April 1931 went home to be with the LORD 14 February 2015. Nora and her twin sister, Dora were born in Borger, Texas 28 April 1931 to James Walter and Doneta Davis Immel. Nora married John Wesley Osborne, the love of her life, 18 January 1947. They spent 67 years together. They had 3 children born and raised in Borger; Johnny, Sandra and Rickey. Nora worked outside the home a good part of her life and inside the home the other part. She and John had an OPEN DOOR when it came to family and friends. They liked having a house full.
