She will graduate from Pearland High School in Pearland, TX this spring. She is a second baseman and an outfielder who plays for her high school and a travel team, the Texas Evolution.
“I believe that 'Murph' will bring a good presence to the team. She is a left handed hitter who handles the bat well and should add some speed and defensive depth to our team next year,” says head coach, Lucas Grider.
Two other players have committed, but cannot make it to the campus for their signings.
Both Frank Phillips teams fell to New Mexico Junior College on Monday night.
The ladies lost 64-58. Honesty Sullivan was the leading scorer with 16, and Cheyenne Swoopes added 11.
The men lost 82-60 to a two loss NMJC team. Greg Nelson was the leading scorer with 15. Earl Hill and Alex Zivkovic each had 9.
