On Friday evening, the Odessa College Lady Wranglers (40-15 overall, 16-2 WJCAC) used two late inning rallies to get the two game sweep over the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen (12-34, 4-14 WJCAC) in WJCAC softball action at LINN Energy Field.

MIDLAND-On Friday, the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen split their two games with Midland College Chaparrals by winning game one 7-5 and dropping game two 0-4 in WJCAC play.
The Plainsmen opened game one by scoring four runs in the top of the first inning to give pitcher Brad Wieck a good cushion to work with from the mound.
Midland chipped away at the lead and pulled to within one run in the fifth inning. But the Plainsmen responded by scoring three in the top of the sixth inning.
Joel Villareal had three RBIs and Nolan Hoskins had two RBIs to lead the Plainsmen at the plate.
The Borger Lady Bulldogs Golf Team came in fifth place at the 3A Region I Golf Tournament at San Angelo Country Club by shooting a two round total of 412-409-821.
The Lady Bulldogs finished 38 strokes ahead of district rival Pampa who had a score of 426-433-859 and four strokes behind fourth place Sweetwater, who had a team score of 817.
Andrews cruised to the regional title with a 643, finishing 99 strokes ahead of second place Snyder which shot a 742.
Clarice Myers led the Lady Bulldogs by shooting 100-101-201.

Frank Phillips College Menâ€™s Basketball player Mike Evans has signed a letter of intent to play for Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Evans was a forward for the Plainsmen the past two seasons. In the 2011-12 season, Evans started 12 games and averaged two points and three rebounds per game. He also averaged 1 block per game, which was third in the league, and did several things for the Plainsmen on the defensive end which did not make its way to the statbook.
On Thursday morning, the Borger Mixed Doubles Tennis Team of Abbie Madden and Alix Whitworth advanced to the 3A State Tennis Tournament by coming in second place in the 3A Region I Tournament in Lubbock.
On Wednesday, the Borger duo won three matches to advance to Thursdayâ€™s title match.
After an opening round win, Madden/Whitworth defeated Zevecke/Estes from Alvarado 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, then defeated Lujan/Ochoa from Monahans 6-2, 0-6, 6-3 in the semi-finals.
On Monday and Tuesday, the Borger Bulldogs Boys Golf Teams' quest for a trip to the state tournament came up short with the Borger A team finishing in seventh place, with a 671, and the Borger B team in 15th place, with a 754, at the 3A Region I Golf Tournament at the Bentwood Country Club in San Angelo.
Dylan Coffer led all Borger golfers by shooting a 85-77-162.
Andrews won the boys team title by shooting a 640 followed by second place Big Spring with a 648. The two teams advance to the 3A State Golf Tournament.
On Tuesday evening, the Borger Bulldogs pulled out the 10-7 win over the Dalhart Golden Wolves in District 1-3A play in Dalhart.
The win by the Bulldogs and the Perryton Rangers 6-5 win over the Pampa Harvesters has set up a big showdown between the Rangers and Bulldogs at Huber Park on Saturday at noon.
After run-ruling the Wolves in their first two district games, the Bulldogs found themselves in a tougher fight on Tuesday.
A walk off 2 RBI double by Taylor Kirksey in the bottom of the seventh inning, gave the West Texas Lady Comanches a 10-9 win over first place Clarendon yesterday. Erin Summers got the win for the WT on the mound. The win moves the Lady Tribe into a tie for first with the Lady Broncos. West Texas has one game left this Saturday in Booker. Clarendon has 3 games left, some are make up games due to the weather.
On Tuesday evening, the Borger Lady Bulldogs softball team kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating the Dalhart Lady Wolves 9-3, in District 1-3A action in Dalhart.
The win allowed the Lady Bulldogs to win the district series with Dalhart and potentially clinch a playoff berth on Saturday with a win over Perryton or a Dalhart loss to Pampa.
The Lady Bulldogs got on the scoreboard early, when Alex Lopez crossed home plate on a passed ball in the top of the first inning.
On Tuesday morning, several members of the community came out for the dedication of LINN Energy Field, home of the Frank Phillips College Softball team.
In the spring of 2011, LINN Energy made a $106,000 donation to the Frank Phillips College Softball program to help in the renovations on the lower softball field in the Johnson Park area that included improving the bleachers and dugouts, and adding a restroom and concession stand building.
