Tonight, the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen and Lady Plainsmen will host Western Texas College in a WJCAC basketball doubleheader at the BCAC.
The womenâ€™s game will tip off at 5:45 p.m., with the men following at around 7:30 p.m.
The menâ€™s game features two teams who have struggled in WJCAC play by holding identical 1-7 conference records.
After beating the Plainsmen on January 19th, Western Texas has lost six straight, which includes dropping the last four games by an average of 27 points.
Despite the snow storm which swept through the Panhandle, friends and family gathered at Amarillo College on Sunday afternoon to honor local athletes and coaches for their accomplishments in 2011 and the three new inductees into the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame (PSHOF).
Longtime Borger coach E.J. â€śJeepâ€ť Webb was one of the three new inductees into the PSHOF for the impact he made during his coaching career in the Texas Panhandle.
In 2011, the Borger Lady Bulldog softball team took a big step by advancing to the area round of the 3A playoffs.
Due to having a year of growth for a promising group of underclassmen and six players returning from last yearâ€™s varsity squad, the Lady Bulldogs go into the 2012 season with expectations to be able to compete for a district title and make a run in the playoffs come May.
On Friday evening, the Pampa Harvesters outscored the Borger Bulldogs 26-6 in the fourth period to get the 59-42 win in District 1-3A play.
Through three periods, the Bulldogs and Harvesters were in a back and forth in an entertaining contest, where the Bulldogs held a 36-34 lead going into the fourth period.
But ten Bulldog turnovers in the final period, opened the door for the Harvesters to go on a run and pull away for the double digit win.
The Bulldogs opened the game strong with Grant Boren nailing a three pointer to give Borger a 8-4 lead.

In District 1-2A play, the #9 Bobcats showed why they are considered one of the best teams in the state in class 2A in jumping out ahead of the Eagles from the opening tip.
Childress started to pull away in the second period by building a 38-12 lead on their way to the 89-34 win.
The loss snapped a two game district winning streak for the Eagles, who will wrap up the 2011-12 on Tuesday against Amarillo River Road.
Ryan Blakely led the Eagles with 12 points followed by Christian Ward and Trey Henry scoring 5 each.

On Sunday afternoon, Borger will be well represented during the 2012 Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony taking place in the Ordway Auditorium on the Amarillo College campus, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Longtime Borger High School Coach E.J. â€śJeepâ€ť Webb will be a part of this yearâ€™s three-person induction class, while Borger coach Jeff Pinkerton will be honored as the Tennis Coach of the Year, Josh and Abbie Madden as the Tennis Players of the Year, and Jâ€™Cee Pool will be honored with a Special Achievement Award.
ALTUS, Okla.-On Thursday afternoon, the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen softball team opened the 2012 season with a pair of losses to Western Oklahoma College, 13-3 and 14-9.

In game one, the Lady Plainsmen committed six fielding errors, helping Western Oklahoma pull away for the run-rule win.
Western Oklahoma scored six runs in the second and third innings before the Lady Plainsmen got on the scoreboard off a three run homerun by sophomore Christine Blankenship.

The Lady Plainsmen's control-the-clock style paid off for the team in the first half as they were able to go into the halftime break with a seven point lead, 22-15.
But in the second half, Odessa applied pressure on the defensive end, which resulted in ten second half Lady Plainsmen turnovers and 16 Lady Wrangler points.
The Borger High School Lady Bulldog Varsity and Junior Varsity softball teams are getting ready for the start of the 2012 season.
For this new season, the softball teams will have a new scoreboard and fence thanks to the support of several local businesses.
The new scoreboard was donated by United Supermarkets and Borger Bank Branch of Amarillo National Bank, and was installed by B&G Electric.
On Tuesday evening, the Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles finished up District 1-2A play Tuesday evening with a big win over the Amarillo Highland Park Lady Hornets.
Its been a great season to watch with the Lady Eagles capturing second place in district. Tuesday night was also Senior night and Sanford-Fritch will graduate four girls that have been great leaders for this program. The familiar Lady Eagles are Jacy Judd, Summer Tubbs, Mariah Cumings and Mandi West. They will be missed by Coach Hale and their younger teammates.
