In spite of having only six players to start the game, and ending with just foUr on the floor, the Lady Comanches put up a valiant effort in a losing battle to Booker 47-26. The rest of the team was either hurt or at the County LIve Stock Show last night. Two of the girls fouled out in the last 10 seconds of the game, leaving four players on the floor. The girls were exhausted the fourth quarter and I give kudos to Sarah Kelly, Katelyn Wilson, Madison Heston, Alyssa Snider, Abby Summers, and Devin DeLapp for their heart.

Both teams enter tonight with identical 1-4 district records and a win will keep one team right in the hunt for one of the district’s playoff berths, while the loser will start tp see their playoff hopes look bleak.
In the district opener back on January 10th, the Kiowas came away with the 57-44 win at home, but have failed to win a district contest since.

The Gruver Greyhounds came away from Stinnett with a win Tuesday night in a tight District contest 37-30. The game was fast paced and mostly a defensive battle. Free throws sank the Tribe in the end, with Gruver making thirteen trips to the free throw line in the second half compared to three for West Texas. The Hounds were 14/23 at the line and WT was 2/4 in the third and fourth quarters. That combined with a three point offensive production in the second quarter was the ballgame.
