Frank Phillips College Volleyball Coach Ashley Dyer added to the Lady Plainsman roster with the recent signing of Kayla Silva of Edinburg, Texas.
Ms. Silva is a 5' 8" Outside Hitter who played varsity volleyball for four years at Economedes High School, earning team MVP honors three of those years. She earned 1st Team All-District 31-5A for three years, and 2nd Team All-Valley honors two years. As a senior she won the E.H.S. Heisman Award as the school's outstanding athlete.
This weekend, members of the Borger Bulldog football team traveled south to take part in a 16 team 7-on-7 football tournament in Snyder.
In pool play, the Borger squad went 2-1, just missing out of reaching the tournament semi-finals. In the wins, Borger defeated San Angelo Grape Creek 26-6 and beat Roscoe 26-0 before losing to Lamesa 27-20
The Borger team plays in the Caprock 7 on 7 tournament later in June, and the 9th grade 7 on 7 will play in a tournament in Amarillo on June 17th.
