Longtime Borger ISD employee E.J. â€śJeepâ€ť Webb has been selected as a 2011 Hall of Fame inductee by the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA).
Webb will be recognized at an awards luncheon during the 2011 Summer Coaches Clinic on Wednesday, July 13th at the Omni Southpark Hotel in Austin.
Webb started his time in Borger in 1958 as an assistant coach before moving to Canyon in 1960.
Webb returned to Borger as an assistant football coach and head track coach in 1966.
The West Texas Lady Comanches hosted the Lady Broncos from Clarendon on Friday.
It was a close game through five innings, with the score was tied at two until the top of the sixth. Thatâ€™s when four WT errors and busy bats from Clarendon gave them seven runs along with two more in the seventh to give the Lady Broncos a 11-2 victory.
Danielle Heater was on the mound for the Lady Comanches. She struck out eight and walked four hitters. The Lady Broncos struck out eleven Lady Tribe batters.
Friday afternoon El Paso CC took the first two games in the four game series with the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen 4-3 and 12-4.
