Jill Schneider chosen to lead National Team

On Monday, former Phillips High School athlete and Borger Lady Bulldog Head Basketball Coach Jill Schneider was selected as the head coach for the 2011 Team USA Women’s Under-16 National Team.
“It’s an incredible honor to have been selected to coach this team,” Schneider said in a statement released by USA Basketball.

West Texas athletes compete in local Special Olympic Events

The West Texas Special Olympic Team competed in the Dumas Special Olympic Track Meet this past Saturday. Where all of the Comanche athletes had a great time.
The team will next take part in the West Texas Special Olympics that will take place in Stinnett on Saturday, April 30th.
The Opening Ceremonies will being at 9:00 a.m. and the public is invited to come out and watch all the Panhandle area teams compete.

Top three medalists: 1. Sarah Moore, Burkburnett, 76; 2. (tie) Brenna Moore, Burkburnett and Tatum Windham, Pecos, 77.

Borger (399): Clarice Myers 93, Hali Southall 97, Desiree Robles 99, Morgan Brown 110, Haley Montoya 115.
