December 13th
Texas APSE Class 3A all-state football team
Voting based on regular-season performance. Players are listed in alphabetical order at each position.
FIRST-TEAM OFFENSE

Tonight all three Hutchinson County high schools will take to the basketball court in boys and girls action.
The Borger High School boys and girls will host Amarillo Highland Park at Tex Hanna Gym with the girls beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 8:00 p.m.
Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs are looking to snap losing streaks with the Bulldogs in the midst of a two game skid and the Lady Bulldogs looking for their first win in the month of December.
December 12th
On Saturday, January 7th,, 2012, Carmichael Simon an innovator in Martial Arts, actor and dance choreographer is teaching a special class and signing autographs at the American Karate Studios located on the corner of 5th and Main Streets.
Carmichael appeared on the popular T.V. Show “W.M.A.C. Masters”, a television show that was hosted by Bruce Lee’s daughter Shannon Lee. Carmichael also played Liu Kang on the Live tour “Mortal Kombat”.
On Saturday, the Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles won third place in the Clarendon Greenbelt Tournament by beating Memphis 60-49.
Mikala Setliff had a big game scoring 24 points followed by Blakely Meek scoring 9.
The Lady Eagles improve to 8-7 for the season and will next travel to take on White Deer tomorrow evening.

December 10th
The Frank Phillips Lady Plainsmen and Ranger College Lady Rangers battled on the hardwood at the BCAC Friday night. It looked like it was going to be a low scoring affair with FPC leading 24-21 at the half. However, both of the ladies came out a little warmer in the second half, but the Lady Plainsmen came out on the short end of the scoreboard 69-63. It was a great game, with the lead changing hands thirteen times.

On Friday evening, the Borger Bulldogs were not able to overcome a slow start and foul trouble in their 62-51 loss to the Dumas Demons in non-district action at Tex Hanna Gym.
December 9th
Tonight the Borger Bulldogs will host the Dumas Demons in non-district basketball action at 7:00 p.m. in Tex Hanna Gym.
The Borger Lady Bulldogs’ game with Wellington has been cancelled due to the Wellington football team playing in the 1A state semifinals in football.
Tonight the Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen will conclude the fall semester portion of the schedule by hosting Ranger Junior College beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the BCAC.
