PAMPA-On Friday evening, District 1-3A play finally got underway with the Borger Bulldogs traveling to take on the Pampa Harvesters for the next chapter of the Texas Panhandle’s best rivalry.
Both teams came in with identical 3-4 record, but throughout the night the Bulldogs proved they were the better team by putting together a dominating performance on both sides of the ball in their 31-6 win.
The Sanford-Fritch Eagles traveled 141 mies south Friday night, looking to secure first place in District 1-2A with a win over the Abernathy Antelopes.
The Lopes had a different plan and their quick and strong Abernathy team wore down the Eagles.
In the first quarter, Sanford-Fritch punted the ball and some great defense were able to force Abernathy to do nothing offensively and punt.
