Borger senior Haley Armstrong will be signing on to play volleyball with the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. According to Haley's mother, she made the commitment several months ago, but her official signing will be held at the Amarillo College gym on Thursday at 4:30.
A feature on this young lady and this great accomplishment will be in a coming issue of the BNH.

[Amarillo, TX May 21]: The Amarillo Venom are proud to announce that proceeds of each ticket sold on May 22 will go to the American Red Cross in relief of the Moore, Okla. Tornadoes. We will offer our Venom fans $10 tickets with a $1 from each ticket going to the American Red Cross.
“The tornado outbreak in Oklahoma on Monday was tragic and changed the lives of not only citizens of Oklahoma but across the United States,” Amarillo Venom owner Stephanie Tucker said. “Hopefully with the money we can raise from the ticket sales we can help restore some of what the families in Oklahoma lost.”

FOX Sports Media Group to Televise Entire Big 12 Baseball Championship

Championship Game to Air on FOX Sports Regional Networks Sunday, May 26
IRVING, Texas — FOX Sports Media Group is televising the entire Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship to a national audience for the first time. FOX Sports Networks (FSN) will televise the championship final. All games leading up to the final will air on FOX College Sports (FCS).

The Plainsmen tied for third place in the WJCAC conference, earning their right to play in the Region 5 tournament in Grand Prairie, TX May 11-16. This is the first time the baseball team has made it out of their very tough conference.

[Amarillo, April 30]: The Amarillo Venom will be holding a press conference at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at Famous Dave’s located at 8518 W. Interstate 40.
Amarillo Venom head coach Julian Reese will be speaking to the media about the upcoming matchup this Saturday against the Abilene Bombers. Venom quarterback Nate Davis will also return to action this week. This weekend is also Los Venom weekend as well as Ladies Night.

[AMARILLO, TX] – The Amarillo Sox announced that individual single-game tickets will go on sale Monday, May 6th at 9:00am. Tickets can be purchased over the phone or in person at the Sox office at 801 S. Polk in Downtown Amarillo.
