George Wyatt, 83, of Borger, TX, passed away, Sunday, December 30, 2012.
George Millard Wyatt was born Tuesday, August 20, 1929 in Saint Maurice, LA to Glenn and Audrey (Adams) Wyatt. Mr. Wyatt was a chemist for Phillips Petroleum. He married Shirley Tacker in 1952 at Wheeler, TX.
Mr. Wyatt is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shirley.
Clarence Harvey Jasper, 87, of Stinnett died Wednesday, January 2, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the Church of Christ in Stinnett with Zeb Sailors, former minister, and Robert Clay, minister officiating. Interment will be at the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Funeral services for Wanda Louise Jinks, 87 of Claremore were at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2012 at Memorial Heights Baptist Church with Pastors’ Paul Simpson, Darrell Meadow and Darin Haddox officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Musgrove-Merriott- Smith Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
John J. Walker, 88, a resident of Borger from 1945-2008, died December 29, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, where he lived with his son. His wife, Helen Walker, preceded him in death on November 19, 2012.
Born in Ben Wheeler, Texas, on March 13, 1924, to John Henry Walker and Maude Howell Walker, John was one of 11 siblings who helped his parents earn their living as farmers in Ben Wheeler.
Leonard C. Deskin died December 31 in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Julia Bird Williams, 96, of Borger died Sunday, December 30, 2012.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ with Lindell Brown and Pastor Harry Williams presiding. Interment will be at the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents; and Aunt Ruth Waites.
FRITCH - Jay Harstead, 40, of Fritch, died January 1, 2013 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Danny Courtney, pastor of First Baptist Church of Fritch, officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Harstead was born March 4, 1972 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and was a longtime resident of Borger and Amarillo before moving to Fritch with his life partner, Brett.

FRITCH - Asker “Gube” Raymond Harp, 90, of Fritch died Monday, December 31, 2012 in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at the Stinnett Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Asker was born on April 4, 1921 in Warner, Oklahoma to Willam Rosco and Clara Ethel (Porter) Harp. Asker served his country in the Army Air Corp in World War II.

Rickey Martin Wood, 57, of Fritch died Friday Dec. 28, 2012, in Fritch.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Fritch Church of Christ with Richard Kasko officiating.
Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Rickey was born May 27, 1955, in Borger. He retired from Chevron Phillips as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. He loved watching football, playing golf and going to the gun range.
