James Earl Jones, 66, of Borger, died Saturday Nov. 19, 2011, in Borger.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at United Methodist Church in Paducah, Texas with Bobby Evans, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors and McBee Family Funeral Home.
James was born May 17, 1945 at Paris, Texas, to James and Lenora Ainsworth Jones. He worked as a Janitor for ABC Studio in California. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother J. C. Jones.
Lula Mae Rothmeyer, 99, of Borger, went home to her heavenly father, Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Riverview Baptist Church, Borger, TX, with Pastor Jimmy Gillmore officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors of Borger, TX.
BORGER - Clyde T. â€śPlunkyâ€ť Durham, Jr., 78, died Nov. 13, 2011, in Amarillo, TX.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at St. Mark CME Church in Pampa with Rev. Darren Willis, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with military honors courtesy of the U.S. Army, Fort Hood, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mr. Durham was born April 29, 1933, in Pampa, where he attended Pampa schools. He was employed by Hardin & Roth Service Station.
Dorothy LaVerne Anderton, affectionately known as â€śGrandma Dotâ€ť to so many, passed away, Friday, November 11, 2011 of natural causes.
Dorothy LaVerne (Shepard) Anderton was born Friday, May 31, 1929 in Hamlin, TX to Ray and Martha (Gray) Shepard. She was a loving wife, mother, friend and homemaker where she resided in Yukon, OK prior to her death at age 82.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Hardin; and her second husband, Jerry Anderton.
HAPPY â€“ Caroline Dietz, 79, died Nov. 13, 2011, in Canyon.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Happy. Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Happyâ€™s Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be at Brooks Chapel in Canyon on Monday and Happyâ€™s Memorial Chapel on Tuesday. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors.
Caroline Dietz was born on June 3, 1932 to Adolph and Rose Schulte. She married James Dietz on August 28, 1951 and they just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Frankie Nell Potter, 86, of Amarillo, passed away, Sunday, November 13, 2011.
Frankie Nell (Snyder) Potter was born Tuesday, November 25, 1924 in Panhandle, TX to Frank and Nellie Ann (Perdue) Snyder. She married P.B.Potter on July 31, 1948 in Borger, TX. She was bookkeeper for Hutchinson Aircraft Service until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, P.B. Potter.
SKELLYTOWN - James â€śJimâ€ť Dennis, 80, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, in Pampa.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at Mobeetie Cemetery with Ammon Weber, bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Borger, officiating.
Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mr. Dennis was born Sept. 24, 1931 in Borger to John and Verna Dennis. He graduated from Compton High School in Compton, California and served in the U. S. Air Force.
He married Margie Sangster on Sept. 2, 1981 in Lovington, New Mexico.
Earl Sidney Hunter was born May 4, 1921, in Lola, Kansas. He graduated from Lola High School in 1939 and attended Kansas State University where he played football. In the spring of 1943, he was called into service and became a Lieutenant in the Air Force.
LAS VEGAS, NV â€“ J.D. â€śRedâ€ť Brittain, 77, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Visitation will be at Park Mortuary â€“ Eastern from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Palm Mortuary â€“ Eastern.
Interment will be in Palm Valley View Cemetery in Las Vegas, Nev. Arrangements are handled by Palm Mortuary â€“ Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Maxine Londagin, 81 years young, went to her Lord and Saviour on November 7, 2011. She was born on August 30, 1930 in Maud, Oklahoma.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Bartley, Pastor of Keeler Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the â€śGarden of Loveâ€ť in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Dorothy Fields, brother, Floyd Fields and her beloved son, Phil Londagin.
