FRITCH - Dawn Marie Weber, 37, of Fritch, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Spearman.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Allen Campbell of Granite City, Ill., officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Catherine D. Lawhon, known to her friends as â€śTootie,â€ť was a gift to all who knew her. She grew up in Borger and was a Borger Bulldog through and through. In fact, she and her daughters still belt out, â€śAre you READY? Well I guess. Borger Bulldogs! YES YES YES!â€ť
Catherine was the daughter of Hudson Davis and Ruby Davis and proud to be in this Chevrolet family. She loved being raised in Borger, and the town has always been dear to her heart.
FRITCH - Keith Everett Treadway, 52, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at his home in Fritch.
No services are scheduled. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mr. Treadway was born June 11, 1959, in Borger, to Charlie C. and Bobbie J. Treadway, and was a lifetime resident of the Borger, Fritch area. He had worked on oil rigs most of his life, until he became disabled. Mr. Treadwayâ€™s passions were riding his motorcycle and his dogs. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Virgil Hynes, 75, of Borger, passed away Monday Oct. 10, 2011, in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday Oct. 13, 2011, at Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Denny Sneed officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Hope at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
George Glenn Breen, Jr., of Fritch, Texas, passed away October 9, 2011, at Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home, where he had been a resident since late June.
Born to Naomi Epperson Breen and George Breen, Sr., in Pecos, Texas, George married Margaret Auldine Elliott in Pecos, June 17, 1947.
Lucile Evelyn Leigh, 96, of Borger, died Sunday, October 9, 2011.
A rosary will be held at Minton Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Johnâ€™s Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Colwell officiating. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
LUBBOCK - Edith Luellen Noble, 96, formerly of Skellytown, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Reverend Sam Line of Groom Church of Christ officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
FRITCH - Glenda Roberts Stone, 52, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at her home in Fritch.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Wesley United Methodist Church with Richard Kasko, of Fritch Church of Christ, and her brother Todd Moss of Norman, Okla., officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Glenn Hubert White, 82, of Ozark, died October 6, 2011 in Charleston, Arkansas.
He was born March 30, 1929 in Clovis, new Mexico to Ernest and Mary White.
He owned Whites Janitorial Service in Ozark, Arkansas since 1974. Prior to 1974 Glenn was in the oil industry in New Mexico.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahâ€™s Witnesses in Ozark, Arkansas and was a graduate of Canadian High School in Canadian, Texas in 1947.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Sue White, His parents, Ernest and Mary White, and two brothers, Leroy and Don White.
Mace Hollis Jones, 88, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Interment will follow in the â€śGarden of Loveâ€ť at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mace was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Soper, Okla., to Jim and Maudie Jones. He was serving in the United States Army during WW II and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
