Paul Edward Pinter, 74, of Amarillo died on Sunday, May 13, 2012.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Pinter was born on July 6, 1937 in Abbott, Texas to Alfons and Sydney Pinter. He graduated from Abbott High School in 1955 and then attended North Texas State University.
Loyd Elmer Gooch, 86, of Borger, passed away, Thursday, May 16, 2012.
Loyd Elmer Gooch was born on April 12, 1926 in Logan County, Oklahoma to Corbett Roy Gooch and Minnie Rose (Schnaeburger) Gooch. Mr. Gooch worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as a welding supervisor. He was a member of Keeler Baptist church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Gooch was a WWII Veteran and also involved in the Korean conflict. Mr. Gooch was instrumental in building the ball park for the North Little League, where he coached the team. Loyd Gooch married Darlis Reynolds on May 5, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma.
Myrtie Ethel Seeds Harris was born May 2, 1914 at home in Ringgold, Montague County TX. She was married to Nolan Harris July 2, 1933 in Pampa, Texas. They had been married 50 years when Nolan passed away in Borger, Texas, October 28, 1983.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Seeds Castleberry of Pampa, Texas, father Rob Seeds of Pampa, Texas; sister Mary Elizabeth Seeds Trenary of Pensacola, Florida; two brothers, Robert Seeds of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; and Charles A Seeds, Dallas, Texas.
Joy Stephen, 74, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away, Monday, May 7, 2012.
Joy LaTrice (McWhorter) Stephen was born Tuesday, July 6, 1937 in Pampa, TX to Fred and Bessie (Gatlin) McWhorter. Joy McWhorter married Truman Royce Stephen on October 22, 1952 in Edmonson, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman Royce Stephen; her grandson, Bobby J. Stephen; her sister Geraldine Hancock and her brother, Bobby McWhorter.
Betty Dawson, 81, of Borger, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012.
Laverne Coiner, 92, of Borger, passed away, Monday, May 14, 2012.
Laverne Elizabeth (Ithaca) Coiner was born February 5, 1920 in Denver, Co to George and Minnie (Pearson) Ithaca. She was a homemaker. Laverne was a member of the Rebeccaâ€™s and Royal Neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Coiner; two sisters, Jean Mackey and Doris Stapp; and one brother George Ithaca Jr.
FRITCH - Lee Walton â€śWaltâ€ť Poling, 79, of Poling Ranch in Fritch, died Thursday, May 10, 2012.
Services for Mr. Poling will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, in the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with the Rev. Calvin Winters officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Paul McKinney, 95, of Borger died Wednesday May 9, 2012 at the Texas State Veteranâ€™s Home in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday May 14 at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Howard of Amarillo officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Rose Ellen Cannefax, 83, of Borger, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Borger.
Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in El Paso, with Rev. Bruce Ridling of the Borger Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Graveside services will be conducted by Sunset Funeral Home of El Paso with a viewing at their Northeast location from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday May 9, 2012.
Barbara Lightfoot, 66, of Amarillo, passed away, Monday, May 7, 2012.
Barbara Gean (May) Lightfoot was born April 24, 1946 in Borger, TX. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Faye (Reese) May and her husband, George Lightfoot.
Survivors include her father, Virgil May of Tulsa, OK; half-brother, Roy Chambers and wife, Sue of Borger, TX; and three half-sisters, Shirley Barr and husband, Jim of Port Aransas, TX, Peggy Lloyd of Bay City, TX and Patricia Jones of Kingfisher, OK.
