Funeral services for James M. â€śJimâ€ť Ormsby, 86, who died July 10, 2012 in Plainview will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the 1st United Methodist Church in Borger with Rev. Don Boren, District Supervisor of Abilene and Rev. Johnny Robertson, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
LARNED, KS - Janice Helene Schneck, 81, passed away July 3, 2012, at the Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire.
She was born March 13, 1931, in Great Bend, Kansas; the daughter of Donald J. and Ellen Quigley Younkin.
A lifetime area resident; she was a Homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Extension Homemakers Unit, all of Larned. She collected rocking horses, enjoyed painting and Genealogy.
On August 18, 1949, she married Lawrence Schneck Jr. in Larned. He survives.
Bob Stombaugh, 75, of Borger, died Monday, July 9, 2012 in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Minton Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the â€śGarden Of Loveâ€ť at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Bob Stombaugh was born August, 7, 1936 in Goodland, Indiana to Kenneth and Martha Stombaugh.
He was a security guard for Guardsmark, and served his country in the United States Army. Bob married Patsy Wynn December 29, 1982 in Lovington, New Mexico.
Connie White Cole, 82, of Borger, passed away, Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Graham, TX.
Connie Lois (Murphy) White Cole was born January 21, 1930 in Tipton, OK to Newt and Juanita (Powell) Murphy. Mrs. Cole retired from the Borger News Herald as office manager.
Mrs. Cole is preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert V. White; her second husband, Sam Cole; and her twin brother, John Louis Murphy.
Diana Hooks, 54, of Stinnett, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2012 in the home of her twin sister, Deana.
Janice Marie Blain, 69, passed away on July 6, 2012, in South Fork, Colo. Janice was born March 15, 1943, in Sherman, Texas, to T.B. And Clara B. (Woodruff) Stephens.
Janice was a homemaker who enjoyed bird watching on her front porch, music, and reading.
Janice is preceded in death by her father T.B. Stephens, her mother Clara B. (Woodruff) Stephens, and her husband Kenneth Rhea Blain.
John Aderson Warren, 82, of Borger, died July 7, 2012 in Amarillo at the VA Hospital.
At his request, no services will be held. His ashes will be scattered at the family ranch in Wheeler County.
John was born at home on May 18, 1930 in Boynton, OK and weighed in at 3 pounds. He moved to Borger at age 4 and lived with his family in Huber Camp. He attended and graduated from Borger High School in 1947.
John was a member of the BHS Choir and at age 16 had his own radio show â€śThe Johnny Warren Showâ€ť on KHUZ where he sang â€ścroonerâ€ť songs to his audience.
Lucille Parkhurst, 88, of Stinnett, passed away, Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Dumas, TX.
Mittice Lucille (Holland) Parkhurst was born Sunday, September 23, 1923 in Parks, TX to Hardy and Winnie (Welch) Holland. Mrs. Parkhurst was a homemaker. She married Clifford Perry Parkhurst on January 8, 1943 at the First Christian Church of Borger, TX.
Mrs. Parkhurst is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Clifford.
Services for Cleo McClellan, 75, will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo.
Cleo McClellan was born in Coleman, Texas on September 5, 1936 to Purvey and Essie Rams. Her Family moved to Borger when she was a year old.
Cleo graduated from Borger High School and attended Frank Phillips College. She married Johnny McClellan in Borger on January 18, 1958. Cleo worked for Phillips Petroleum Company and the City of Borger.
Virginia Mae Patterson, 84, of Fritch died Tuesday July 3, 2012, in Fritch.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am Friday July 6th at Minton Memorial Chapel. Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Virginia was born February 7, 1928 in Missaukee County, Michigan. She was a housewife and loved to quilt. She had been a resident of Fritch for 32 years.
She is survived by her son Steven and wife Debbie Pollakowski of Borger. Grandchildren Reneeâ€™ Pollakowski Schwarz, Tonya Pollakowski Ledford and Darin Chilcote.
