Dennis Keith Burney, age 57, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2014, while being comforted by his wife Christina Burney. Dennis was born September 27, 1956 in Borger, Texas, to Lloyd Wayne and Alma May Burney. He grew up in a large family that included five siblings. Dennis graduated Borger High School in 1975 and shortly after married Andrea Nolen. Together they had three children Jeff, Adam and Deniese. In 1977, Dennis began working at Phillips Petroleum Company as a mechanic. During his 20 years at Phillips, Dennis spent most of his time working at the Round Top.
Brenda Kay Williams, 69, of Borger went to be with our Lord on July 26, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. The oldest of five children, Brenda was born in Lubbock, Texas on April 4, 1945 to John and Christine Rogers. She was raised in Carlsbad, NM where she met the love of her life, Robert Lee Williams in March, 1962. They were married January 5, 1963 and celebrated their 50th Anniversary in a surprise vow renewal ceremony December 23, 2012.
Thelma Ruth Litchford Moon Dugan was lifted to heaven to be with our Lord on July 24, 2014, in Borger, Texas.
Thelma Ruth Litchford Moon Dugan was born November 25, 1928, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to John and Ruth Litchford. She attended Phillips High School. Thelma married Melvin Muriel Moon in 1945. They moved to Long Beach, California to begin their family. They lived most of their years in California until his death in 1973. They were married 28 years.
Thelma married Lloyd Dugan in and lived in Fritch until his death in 1997. They were married 19 years.
Daniva Jean Dally, 57, passed away July 27, 2014.
Graveside service will be 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Daniva was born October 6, 1956 in Borger, Texas to Homer and Marietta West. She loved life to the fullest especially spending time with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny Blommaert.
Henry Clay Phares, 77, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014.
A memorial service will be held 7 pm Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Fellowship Baptist Church, Pastor Bobby Bridges, officiating. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to Fellowship Baptist Church, 305 N Deahl, Borger, Texas, 79007.
Virginia Lee Ferguson, 76, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014.
Funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Bible Baptist Church, Rev. Leonard Forsythe, officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation to assist hospice or cancer patients being treated at BSA, 1500 Wallace Boulevard Amarillo, TX 79106.
George Slaton, 83, born August 27, 1930 in St Jo, Texas passed away July 26, 2014 in Round Rock, Texas.
Brian R. Wallace, 50, of Paris, Virginia, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Wallace was born June 8, 1964 in San Diego, California, son of Jimmie Richard Wallace and Ruth Ellen Sijan.
He attended George Mason University where he received a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
He was a nurse practitioner and director of bariatric surgery at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC and was the co-owner of The Cleaning Authority.
He had served in the U. S. Navy from 1986 – 1991.
Donald Wayne Williams, 83, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Borger. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at 1st Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Goodnight, former Pastor of 1st Baptist Church in Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery. Ms. Wagner will lie in state at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with gift to the Salvation Army or the Red Cross.
