Onna Mae Brawley, 87 died Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Amarillo.
Onna was born July 26, 1926 in Haman County, Okla. to Elmer L. and Nannie Lou (Cates) McElroy. She married Gaenell Brawley on July 27, 1942 in Duke, Okla. At the time of her death, she was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church in Amarillo but regularly attended Cowboy Church at The Craig Retirement Community where she was a resident.
Sharon Louthan, 68, of Borger, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013.
Beverly Sharon Louthan was born January 16, 1945 in Branchland West Virginia to Vernie and Thelma (Dillon) Franklin.
Sharon married Charlie Flowers in 1985. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Louthan is preceded in death by her parents, and first husband Vernon Dean Louthan.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Flowers of Borger, Two sons Russell and wife Debra Louthan of Fritch, TX. and Cody and wife Jenifer Flowers of Borger, TX.
Celeste Ann Hess, 57, of Borger died September 10, 2013 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Grace Church with Ricky Griffin, Pastor at Trinity Fellowship in Amarillo officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
She was born July 4, 1956 in Hobbs, NM and lived her entire life in Borger. Celeste always had a smile on her face and time to visit. She was a member of the 1974 Class at Phillips High School.
Celeste loved working in her yard, cooking, and playing with her dogs.
Carlene Wright, 77, went to be with her Savior, Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
Graveside service will be 11 am Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Director of Fritch. Family will receive guest at the funeral home from 6-7 pm on Friday.
Carlene was born December 12, 1935 in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Genealogical Society of Hutchinson County and Broadway Baptist Church of Fritch.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bob Wright; parents, Mack and Ruth Matthews; sisters, Willa Dean Smith and Delores Cox.
Winnie E. â€śJeanâ€ť Teague, 86, of Borger died in her home on Tuesday, September 10. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Jean was born January 29, 1927 to Jeff and Belle Watson in Gray, Oklahoma. She married Burl Teague on March 21, 1946 at Sanford, TX. Her grandkids were her life and she loved to paint and work in her flower beds.
Kathryn â€śJaniceâ€ť Howard, formerly of Borger, went to be with the Lord, her beloved husband and her son, on Friday, September 6, 2013 after a month long stay in a Tulsa hospital.
Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, September 13, 2013 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Tracy Kim Oakley, 47, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Friday, September 13, 2013 in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Her memory may be honored with a gift to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell Street, Amarillo, Texas, 79109, please make a note with donation restricting it the Colorectal Cancer Research.
Tracy was born March 14, 1966 in Borger, Texas to Pamela Whitmire and Milton Ingram. She was a night stocker at Walmart.
Bob Dial, 92, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Borger.
Memorial service will be 2 pm Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Church of Christ at Borger. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Bob was born October 8, 1920 in Miami, Texas to C.L. and Lelia Dial. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger, the VFW, American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. Bob was a great man, loving father and the last of the â€śrealâ€ť cowboys.
James Glen Whitmire, 54, of Borger died Saturday, August 31, in Borger. Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, at Grace Church, with Sr. Pastor Marshall Ford officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
James was born in Borger to James and DeLores Whitmire in June of 1959. He was a lifetime resident of Borger and was the owner of Roadrunner Trucking. James loved to work on cars and machinery. He loved woodworking, Harleyâ€™s, the Yankees, and golf.
Emily Ann Cottrell, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2013, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, September 7, at High Mesa Cowboy Church, 1100 High Mesa Drive with Pastor Todd King officiating. Burial was private.
