Leta Marilyn Kirk Hunter was born January 10 1922, in Bazaar, Kansas to Jesse Kingman Kirk and Hazel Marquette Kirk. During most of her childhood she lived with Mattie Kirk Jones in Cottonwood, Kansas. She graduated from Chase County Community High School in 1940 after which she attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas with a Bachelor’s degree in science. Marilyn worked for a short time in Interior design with Robert Keiths’ in Kansas City, Missouri. She married Lt. Earl S. Hunter in April 3, 1944. She traveled with Lt.
Services for Nancy Ball Campbell, 71, of Tyler, TX are scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home in Tyler, TX.
Mrs. Campbell was born January 21, 1940 in Borger, TX and passed away on August 10, 2011 in Tyler, TX at Hospice Home Place in Tyler.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Grace Church in Borger with Associate Pastor Tim Hall of Grace and Pastor Bill Browning of Broadway Baptist Church of Fritch officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Sherry Vivian Traylor, 47, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in Fritch.

Bernice Opal Young Nicholson was born in Indiahoma, OK on August 16, 1918 and lived in Borger, Texas for many years. Opal has resided in Cedar Hill, Texas for the last 4 years. She went to heaven on August 6, 2011 and was 92 years of age.

Greeley, CO - Cory Dean Smith, 39, went Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, to be with his Lord and dad in heaven.
 Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Riverview Baptist Church with Preacher Jimmy Gillmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park.   Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Joe Pat Hart was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Doole, TX, to Pat and Bertha Hart. He went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, TX at the age of 87 years.
He served with the Army Air Force during WWII. Joe married Lois Vrubel Aug. 20, 1974, in Clovis, N.M. He worked as a farmer before being hired by the Texas Employment Commission where he worked for 27 years until his retirement in 1980.

Betty R. Davis, 78, formerly a resident of Borger, TX, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Little Rock, Ark.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westlawn Memorial Park. Interment will be beside her husband Dennis Devoe Davis under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Johnny Leon Laster, 52, of Shawnee, Okla., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at St. Anthony Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service. Memorial donations can be made to the Sharon Baptist Church Building Fund.
