Plenty has happened across Hutchinson County over the last week, and in case you missed it, here's a quick review of the highlights. Of course schools in Borger and across the county kicked off a new year on Monday, and on Sunday August 23 churches across the county came together to walk the campuses of local school districts offering prayer for the safety, well being, and education of students.

The Borger School District's Board of Trustees has announced a Thursday evening meeting which will host a public hearing regarding the district's upcoming budget and tax rate for the year ahead. Locals interested in voicing their opinions are encouraged to stop by the BISD Administration Building (200 E 9th) at 7:00 p.m. on August 27. A full agenda is included below.
