The Hutchinson County United Way hosted their annual 2014/15 Kick-off Luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Graced Land East Dining Hall. Julie Winters, Executive Director of the Hutchinson County United Way, set this years goal at $650,000.
Town Hall Meeting held at Borger City Hall at 11:15.
The Borger Cross Country Team received a donation from the BHS Class of 1994. The donation came from the Jeep Webb 5K Run hosted by the Class of 1994.
West Texas State FFA Students competed at the Tri-State Fair in livestock judging, swine projects and lamb projects.
Hutchinson Country Residents may receive help with food, clothing, household items and many other services by going to their office at 517 Bryan Street. Volunteers are needed. Contact Suzie Hernandez at 806-273-5601.
West Texas Elem will host their third annual 5K Run/Walk Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Stinnett City Park. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and the run/walk begins at 5:30 p.m.
Ranger Tim Cruze, Lake Meredith National Recreation Area Chief of Interpretation invites everyone to come out to the Alibates Fliint Quarries on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There are many activities planned for the whole family to enjoy such as: hiking tours, a "knap-in" demonstration, prehistoric weapon throwing and much more!
Mr. Duncan and his BHS students will present two plays this coming weekend on Saturday night, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. Immediately after the production, the audience is invited to a "Nearly Illegal Homemade Dessert Buffet".
