The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) today announced the arrest of a Borger woman for allegedly sexually asssaulting a child. The Texas Rangers arrested Corisa Tosh, 41, after conducting an investigation into the alleged assault in 2009. The Rangers began investigating after being notified by the Borger Police Department. Tosh is a former police officer, and the alleged assault occurred prior to her employment as a Borger police officer. Tosh was booked into the Hutchinson OCunty Jail for sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

Sweet Things Snowcone stand recently donated to the Snack Pak 4 Kids Program. They gave 50% of their total Saturday sales to help the program provide nutritious food for the kids to have over the weekend.
The Harrington's played an important part in the development of the Borger area. They moved "shotgun" houses from Panhandle, across Dixon Creek and into Borger and the surrounding area using horses and wagons. This is hard to imagine and shows the tenacity and expertise of the early Borgan's as they created a city that many of us now call home.
The Borger Boy's Taveling Basketball Team played in a tournament this past weekend in Canadian. The Borger team, made up mostly of 5th graders from Borger Intermediate School, wore hot pink t-shirts to honor the memory of former classmate, Keara Brown.
Zach Suttle, 20, of Borger proposed to Jewells Hubbard, 19, at Helping Hands in Borger on Friday. Jewells said "Yes" and then began to cry. Their daughter, Annyston Katherine Rose, was there, and she gave a smile of approval. Congratulations to the happy couple and their daughter!

The Borger High School Student Council members are in the process of visiting all of the Borger schools and presenting a program that teaches the students about smoke detecters and fire safety.
