Although the date has not been set, the demolition of the 200 S. McGee property is progressing and should begin within the next week.
The general contractor JE Dunn has selected A and R demolition for this part of the project. Complete demolition is still pending the separation of steel and usable material from remaining structure and construction debris. Usable materials will be removed from the area, before structural demolitions starts. All utilities are in the process of being cut and capped.

Kim Charles, 55, of Pampa, who works at Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger, won a trip for two to Las Vegas, Nev. After losing a â€śPrice is Rightâ€ť scratch-off, Charles sent in the ticket for a second chance to win. She and 24 other people won this trip.
The trip includes a four-day and three-night stay, travel expenses, two show tickets, tickets to â€śThe Price is Right, and $5,000.
Lake Meredith National Recreation Area and Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument are seeking to update their fire management plan.
The two entities are proposing to update this plan to formally lay out the process and actions for prescribed burning on adjacent private ranchlands, including the attendant vegetation manipulation necessary along firelines to control these prescribed burns.
Borger police officers made an arrest last week after responding to a disturbance on Moody Street.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at approximately 3:33 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Moody Street involving two male subjects with possible weapons involved.
Hutchinson County Commissioners Court met Monday, February 13, 2012 in the Hutchinson County Courthouse.
The Commissioners approved the resolution that expands the scope of the Hutchinson County Volunteer Fire Department.
Hutchinson County Fire Marshal, Danny Richards spoke about the EOC volunteers and jobs they take on.
The state of Texas only recognizes three emergency response groups and they are Law Enforcement, EMS and the Fire Department. The EOC will be a part of the Hutchinson County Volunteer Fire Department.
The Hutchinson County Sheriffâ€™s Office and Crime Stoppers are seeking assistance in reference to a large theft of copper wire in the northern region of Hutchinson County.
According to Lt. Anthony Griffin of the Borger Police Department, on two different occasions, one near the end of October 2011 and one near the end of January 2012, unknown person(s) have taken approximately 340 feet of copper wire, valued at approximately $4,500, not to include damages.
The suspect(s) have taken the copper wire off of agricultural irrigation systems, which destroys the irrigation system itself.

An arrest made pertaining to an arson that occurred back in mid-January was due to a Crime Stoppers tip.
Lt. Anthony Griffin of the Borger Police Department said that Crime Stoppers received a tip from an individual having information in reference to an arson that occurred on Jan. 20, 2012, in the 1000 block of East Sixth Street.
This tip/information led to law enforcement officers solving the case, including an arrest being made. Due to this tip from Crime Stoppers, the individual was awarded $1,000.
With spots on city councils, school boards, and other boards up for grabs, it is important for prospective candidates and voters to know dates pertaining to the upcoming election process.
Those interested in filing for a spot on the ballot have until 5 p.m. Monday, March 5 to do so. This is also the deadline for write-in candidates to file. It is also the last day to order a general election for May 12, 2012, the recommended date to appoint presiding and alternate judge, and the recommended date to order the lists of registered voters from the county voter registrar.
